Where to start

You need a learner licence first — a theory test at VTNZ or AA. Once you have that, we can get you on the road.

I come to you

No travel stress. I pick you up from home, school, or anywhere else that makes sense.

Your car or mine

We can use my dual-control car (recommended) or your own car if you plan to test in it.

Common questions

What do I need before my first driving lesson?+
You need a current New Zealand learner licence, which you get by passing the road code theory test at a licensing agent (VTNZ, AA, or similar). Once you have that, you're ready to get behind the wheel.
How many learner licence lessons will I need?+
Everyone is different. Some people are ready to sit their restricted test after 10 hours, others after 25. I'll give you an honest assessment and we'll know together when you're genuinely ready.
What are the learner licence conditions in NZ?+
On a learner licence you must always be accompanied by a full licence holder sitting in the front passenger seat. There's no passenger limit or nighttime restriction at this stage — those apply at the restricted stage.
Can you come to my house for lessons?+
Yes. I pick you up from home, school, or any agreed meeting point. No travel required on your part.
